5 year Anniversary of First Being Published in Sports Illustrated
Who could believe it's the 5 year anniversary of the first time an image of mine was published in Sports Illustrated. Back then. I still remember being almost-to-the-point-of-tears excited. Sports Illustrated represented so much. It felt like I had arrived. Being published in the magazine was the benchmark that I was "good enough".
Since then I've had my fair share of images in SI to the point that I stopped searching for them. I've felt more pride in KLC fotos having images in Sports Illustrated not by me but by some of great photographers I work with at KLC fotos like Al Milligan and Paul Rudman.
In just these last five years the industry has changed A LOT and my career has taken me on paths I couldn't have dreamed of. What hasn't changed is my love for photography, my gratitude to the community of photographers, my respect for those in this industry who set the bar high in their work and their attitude.
Feeling nostalgic :)
