This is Bay Area Jewry at Beth El January 8-March 31
I've been working with Lehrhaus Judaica and Building Jewish Bridges on a project I am thrilled to be a part of: This is Bay Area Jewry which you can see now through March 31st at Congregation Beth El in Berkeley. While the idea for the project started back in 2011 in a workshop titled "What Color are Jews?" and a handful of families were profiled, I was brought on board last year to help add profiles and have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know and photograph these families and individuals and see how diverse the bay area Jewish community is both in it's history and it's present. My photos have been accompanied by written profiles and stories by Robert Nagler Miller.
