Olympus Introduces M.ZUIKO®DIGITAL ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS

A big day of announcements for Olympus as users will also be excited for the M. Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS lens.

With the Micro Four Thirds Crop, that makes this the equivalent of a 200-800mm lens. For field sports (and birds, wildlife, any far away subject) photographers, this can have you covering cross field no problem! And if you paired with a 2x extender that's now 1600mm range... handheld. Unreal!

And it won't break the bank or your back at $1,499 and 2.5lbs.

I haven't yet tried this lens out as the PRO line of lenses is really my wheelhouse and the fully extended f/6.3 is a little limiting for night games. But one of my key reasons for using PRO lenses is the weather sealing. The good news is, even though this lens is in the ED lineup, it still boasts Olympus PRO level weather sealing.
I look forward to testing this out when it becomes available and will give a more thorough review and sample images at that time. Until then, you can view more about this lens on GetOltmpus.com. Shipping September 8, 2020.
